Aarika Thompson

Aarika Thompson focuses her practice primarily on criminal defense, domestic relations, and personal injury litigation. Aarika is also a certified Attorney Ad Litem for both domestic relations and dependency-neglect cases. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Arkansas Tech University in 2010, followed by her juris doctor from the UALR William H. Bowen School of Law in Little Rock. During law school, Aarika served on the Editorial Board for the Arkansas Journal of Social Change and Public Service and was a member of the Delta Theta Phi legal fraternity. Prior to private practice, Aarika served as deputy prosecutor, first with the 2nd Judicial Drug Task Force and then with Poinsett County. There, she gained significant courtroom experience that she utilizes in her practice today. She also previously served as the coach for Bay High School Mock Trial Team and as coach for the Arkansas State University Moot Court Team. She has been named amongst the Top 40 Under 40 Criminal Defense Attorneys in Arkansas by The National Trial Lawyers. Aarika also currently serves as a Director on Arkansas’s JLAP Foundation Board, as a member of Junior Auxiliary of Jonesboro, and as a member of the Mississippi County Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Jake Holmes

Jake Holmes’ areas of practice include criminal defense, civil rights, state & local government, and civil litigation. A Mississippi County native, Jake attended Arkansas State University and graduated with his bachelor’s degree in philosophy and in communication studies. He then earned his JD, along with his criminal law certificate from University of Arkansas School of Law at Fayetteville. During law school, Jake was a member of the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity, Board of Advocates, and National Lawyers Guild. He also won the 2018 Ben J. Altheimer Moot Court Competition. Jake is licensed to practice in both Arkansas and Missouri state courts.
